Amrabad Tiger Reserve

The Amrabad Tiger Reserve in Telangana is one of the country's largest tiger reserves. It has both dry and moist forests and grasslands. This rich habitat supports tigers, leopards, sloth bears, deer, numerous birds, and more. Poaching posed a major threat from 53-67 tigers in 2010 to 18 in 2014. Efforts to stop this have slowly shown positive results, with an estimated 25 tigers today.
