Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary
Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Kalaburagi district of Karnataka, is one of the state's newer protected areas established in 2011. This sanctuary is part of the Deccan Plateau and is known for its dry forest from winter to summer, but this forest turns into a lush green scrubland and forest. It is known for various species of flora and a rich bird population, making it an important location for bird watching and conservation. The sanctuary is also home to wildlife such as blackbucks, jackals, and multiple deer species. The unique geological formations make the sanctuary a great place to see, at any time of the year. Being the first dry wildlife sanctuary in South India, Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary is a significant natural reserve in Karnataka.
